Told you I’d need at least five or six posts to talk about New York’s fashion week… And here we are after Part One, Part Two and Part Three for a new series of reviews.
For those who have just joined us, it works as usual: a brief commentary summarizing my thoughts about the collection + pictures of my favorite looks.
Enjoy !
Diane Von Furstenberg
The way this woman appeals you is whimsical ! She does such a brilliant work with colours and shapes, though I’m not a big fan of these outdated prints this collection is by far one of the best… Until now.
Ladies, check the first look, it’s part of my top rated ones for this season !
Check the rest of the collection here.
Diesel Black Gold
It’s Diesel ! What do you expect ? It’s never going to be more original, that’s the best they can do… And I’ll have to add that silvery fabrics are so 2010… AND cheap, i’ve never been a fan, it’s time to move on ! Anyway I somehow found some outfits that could work…
I can’t believe it, I’m forced to accept this silvery fabrics…
Check the rest of the collection here.
DKNY
Donna Karan did a good work here, but not as good as the one she did for her other label… This collection’s simple, and tricky, perhaps she’ll sell more of these, and that’s exactly the point…
I love the combination of blue and red, it’s somehow very challenging but she managed to pull it though…
If you’re a New York style fan check the whole collection here.
Donna Karan
I’ve never been a really big fan of this woman’s work, but this collection somehow stunned me… She chose a very difficult theme, that can very easily toggle into bad-taste outfits, but it turned out to be one of the best collections so far too… Ok, it’s a bit more important than DKNY, but she could have applied her magic there too, couldn’t she ?
The skirt in the second look’s a killer !
Fierce ! Especially this last gown, it’s one of the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen, definitely joining my top rated looks of this season…

Doo.Ri
Now that’s something new to me… It’s pretty simple, but I’ve got to say that a few daring details absolutely captured my attention, and my heart ! Who can resist drape ? Not me.
This last outfit is simply striking !
Check the rest of it here.
Douglas Hannant
Again, it’s not the revolution of the century, but there are some things like the third dress or the skirt in the fourth outfit that are simply eye-catching and totally missed the plate.
And I love these last two outfits !

Duro Olowu
Let’s put it that way: Except these two incredible outfits I’ve picked, it’s a total fail !
If you ever want to, you can check the rest here.
Edun
Just another ‘haut de gamme’ H&M, I’m not goin to lose my time.
You can still check it here.
Elie Tahari
I somehow managed to put my bitterness aside to pick these oufits, but I can’t keep on, I just can’t seem to like (or even fake it) this man’s concepts. It’s really too simple for me… And I don’t get why everybody loves him so much !
Check the whole thing here.
Erin Fetherston
Unknow-till-now, it’s the kind of simplicity I like, or at least accept. I guess it’s all about knowing you’re doing something simple and accepting it… Not over-acting, taking it too seriously…
Love the freshness of this last dress, and the print of the second one !

Farah Angsana
I’ve just discovered her, and except for these three outfits, it’s a total fiasco !
Check it here.
New York’s fashion week is exhausting ! It’s like a rollercoaster ! There are so many ups followed by so many downs it makes me sick ! I’m almost getting tired of it… So this should be enough for today… See you soon for more fashion week’s reviews or new discoveries.
PS: As usual, if you wanna share anything, comment or simply annoy me, you can contact me, I love the people that do so !
