This is the second editorial I feature on the blog, and here’s the reason why this one’s chosen: In one of many newletters I was running throuh in my inbox, I found a link to these pictures, taken by Emre Guven for Marie Claire Turkey (Sept.11), the least to say is that I was struck by the bold beauty of these shots.
The set is quite simple, Karin Savkova and Sandra Konieczna are on a getaway on some deserted hills where buses rot under the sun, wearing a classic yet really contrasted make-up, and clothes that each and everyone could have in its closet but mixed by Hakan Öztürk in such a way that the whole outfit takes an astonishing magnitude.
The beauty of these shots is very classical, not agressive, yet you’d be blind if you don’t see it. Therefore ladies and gentleman its a wrap as it pleases the poets as much as the common people, a perfect deal for the magazine. Enough talking, take time to appreciate ‘’The Sheltering Sky’’, it’s such an incredible visual feast…
This last shot is definitely my favorite, it’s so powerful ! The dress is magnificient, the red is absolute, the composition, the shape, the light, everything is so mesmerizing… This shot is an artwork to itself !
Satisfied ?
If not, wait for tomorrow’s playlist, I like it !
Peace, Love and Art !
See ya !
